Misha Mahowald Prize Winners, 2023

Shout out to my friends and collaborators at Sandia National Lab, who won an institutional prize for their project “Neuromorphic Advantage for Discrete-Time Markov Chain Random Walks”. I have been working with Rich Lehoucq, Darby Smith, and Brian Franke for the last several years on Monte Carlo approaches to sensitivity analysis for piecewise-linear stochastic processes.

The primary publication associated with their work is “Neuromorphic scaling advantage for energy-efficient random walk computations”, Nature Electronics 5.2 (2022)
